Department of Prosthetics & Orthotics

The Prosthetic & Orthotic department provides a better rehabilitation services to the person with disabilities. Also the department deals with diabetic foot care, Osteoarthritis knee problems, compression stockings, Mobility Aids etc.

The Prosthetic and Orthotic department is dedicated to helping patients regain their active lifestyles and live life without limitations. Our department offers the newest advancements in orthotic, prosthetic and footwear technology combined with friendly, highly skilled and experienced staff that is committed to the highest quality patient care. Our practitioners work collaboratively with your physician and/or physical therapist to evaluate, design and fit the service needed.

Scientific and technical collaboration with OttoBock India Health care Pvt ltd (www.ottobock.in)

In 2011, our department and Ottobock have exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding and started a collaborative program focusing on fitment of Hi-tech artificial limbs.

Other Activities

Our department is also authorized fabricating agency of ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation), Kanpur and also we are doing different camp activities of SSA(Sarva Siksha Abhiyan). We are organizing various CBR programmes in Different parts of Odisha and now we are dealing a project “IEDSS” of Ministry of social justice & Empowerment (MSJE), Govt. Of India in Sambalpur District We are conducting different CRE, Workshop, Seminar for upgrade of the technical knowledge at regular interval.
